My name is Max and I am currently in my third year of training. I am completing my training as an IT specialist for application development at Be in Magdeburg. Despite not having much prior knowledge of programming, I decided to start training at Be anyway. I am very happy that I made this decision.
My workday usually starts at 7:30 a.m. After my computer has booted up, I first check my emails. Once I’ve dealt with those, I start working on my current project. At 8:30 a.m., all the employees in our department meet for the daily SCRUM. My current work is very multifaceted. In our area, we are currently working on redesigning existing software. This requires and promotes many skills. If there are no meetings scheduled, my lunch break begins at 12:30 p.m. After lunch, I continue working until 4:00 p.m. That’s usually when my workday ends.
I really appreciate the working atmosphere at the Magdeburg site. Every employee at Be has their own individual character, which means that work is never boring. At Be, we are given a certain amount of personal responsibility, which allows me to organize and carry out my tasks flexibly. I have always enjoyed working with computers. So it’s even better that I can expand my computer skills on a daily basis.
One of my great passions is volleyball. I train two to three times a week and play in league games on weekends from fall to spring. I also go to the gym to stay physically fit. As you can see, sports are a big part of my life. Besides sports, I spend my free time visiting my friends and family.
